Watton (Loch Neaton) Lawn And Short Mat Bowls Club

Safeguarding Policy Statement

Currently we are governed by the requirements of Bowls England, with regards to Safeguarding, and are supported by the Norfolk Bowls Association and their Safeguarding Policy, which not only covers the requirements of those under 18, but also vulnerable adults.

In 2025 it will be mandatory for Watton Bowls Club to be fully responsible for policing the Bowls England and Norfolk Bowls Association requirements, and therefore we are currently in the process of appointing a Safeguarding Officer within the Club who will be a member of the Club Committee, to be responsible for this function.

This intention is shown on our Constitution in the Club Officers section and the Safeguarding statement.

Safeguarding Policy is reviewed annually prior to the AGM in October by the Club Committee, so that the members can be updated on the Club position going forward.

Peter Faraway
Hon Club Secretary,
Watton (Loch Neaton) Bowls Club.
